The Top 3 Money-Making “To Do” Activities
By Jimmy D. Brown
http://HomepreneurHabits.com

I’ve always been impressed with those who can take overwhelming
things and handle them with ease and poise. It never seemed to work
that way for me, until I discovered the secret for
tackling those daunting tasks.

The secret is simple: make things simple!

With just about every major undertaking, things can be simplified
into a handful of “core” components. That makes them manageable.
Manageable fosters productivity simply because I can work on
something that seems accomplishable. And when productivity goes
up, desired results come.

I received the following question from one of my clients…

“If you have to pick, what would you say are the top 2 or 3
things we should concentrate on? I’ve heard the
domain/site(blog) are the most important, then others say
writing info products, others say lists. For short term and
long term investment, what is the most important things to
be working on?”

This client wants things simplified. And rightly so. He knows
the secret to success is getting things down into manageable
chunks.

So, what are these core practices for building an internet
business? There are three things – and three things only – that
you need to concentrate on with your business…

1. Offer Development.

You cannot make money online unless you have an OFFER. It’s that
simple. Unless there is some way for income to be generated, you
can’t get paid. End of discussion. Every business is founded
upon a revenue-generating offer. Now, this can either be your
own offer (small reports, ebooks, membership sites,
coaching/consulting,
advertising, etc.) or something you promote as an affiliate and
earn revenue for referred sales.

2. List Marketing.

The fortune is in the list. You’ve heard it an untold number of
times in the past, right? Building and profiting from opt-in lists
should be a major priority on your schedule. You need to devote
yourself to attracting new subscribers and then getting all of
your subscribers to spend money with you … by purchasing your
OFFERS (see #1 above).

3. Traffic.

The third and final thing you need to concentrate on is “traffic”.
This includes both traffic GENERATION (getting visitors to a site)
and traffic CONVERSION (getting that traffic to buy). This includes
things like: starting an affiliate program, buying PPC ads,
participating in joint ventures, utilizing viral marketing tools,
raising your visitor value, tweaking your sales pages, etc.

With each of these categories, you have a variety of options to
choose from in directing your attention. It would be foolish for me
to say “grow your affiliate program” as your number # traffic activity
since I don’t know if you even have your own product to sell. That’s
why I don’t recommend specific activities, but rather three key
categories of business-building.

With each of these categories, find 2-3 activities to work on each
week and you should see results in a short amount of time.

I recommend you work on offer development every Monday, list
marketing every Tuesday, and traffic generation every Wednesday.
If you just spend a couple hours each of these days working on these
core parts of your business, sales should come.

In a nutshell -

-	Find an offer to promote.
-	Setup a list to promote the offer.
-	Drive traffic to the list opt-in page.

Keep it simple. Keep it successful.

Believe it or not, there is a tremendous “operations manual” that
you can download to help you create a plan that works for YOU.

—————-
Jimmy D. Brown is the author of the 65-page “operations

How to Pull In As Much Profit As Your Wallet Will Hold
With Opt-In Lists

By Jimmy D. Brown

The fortune is in the list.

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard that said, well, I’d already have a fortune!

However “broken-recordish” it may sound, it is a truthful statement. The fortune REALLY IS in the list.

Fact is, if you possess the knowledge of how to grow and profit from opt-in lists, you can pretty much write your own ticket.

And, if you’ll read the remainder of this article, I’ll pass that knowledge right on to ya.

It comes down to getting folks to do four things…

1. REQUEST. First things first, you need to convince people to “opt-in” to your list. That is, get them to join your list of their own free will.

Usually, this involves giving away a mini-course, report or newsletter from your web site. All you need is..

- An Attention Grabbing Title. (I could have chosen “4 Keys to Successful Email Promotions” for this article, but is that as attention-grabbing as “How to Pull in As Much Profit As Your Wallet Will Hold From Opt-In Lists”?)

- A Handful of Bulleted Benefits. (A short list of 4-6 desirable things subscribers will learn if they join your list. Think “what’s in it for me?”)

- An Opt-In Submission Form. (Your autoresponder system will provide this for you.)

NOTE: The BEST way to get folks to join is to embed the above mentioned items DIRECTLY in the most prominent place you have your site visitors’ attention. Usually this is 3-5 paragraphs into your sales letter or 1/3 of the way into an ezine article.

2. RECEIVE. After visitors to your site have “requested” information by joining your list, it’s critical that your emails be delivered successfully to their inbox. With all of the filters in place (among other hazards) this can be quite a chore.

One thing you’ll want to do for certain is check your SPAM rating to make certain it’s in an acceptable range. Again, most of the better autoresponder services offer this feature for you.

You can also do things like…

- Get your subscribers to “approve” mailings from you.

- Authenticate yourself as a legitimate mailer when you receive a “response challenge” from protection services such as Spam Arrest.

- Use alternative formats of your email messages such as “downloadable email messages” in PDF format.

3. READ. When your emails successfully arrive at the inboxes of your subscribers, another task awaits – getting them to actually open your message and read it.

This is going to depend upon your “subject line”. It is paramount that your subject line be intriguing enough to convince your readers to stop what they are doing and take a look inside.

One way to get this done is to create a swipe file of email subject lines that have convinced YOU to read the messages and then modify those subject lines for your own use.

Ex. I received an email that had the subject line of “This affiliate tip is almost too easy” that caught my attention and forced me to read the associated message.

This subject line could easily be used in a variety of different niches…

- This dieting tip is almost too easy
- This time management tip is almost too easy
- This marriage saving tip is almost too easy

4. RESPOND. When you have convinced your subscribers to open your email message and read its contents, the only remaining “task” is to get them to respond.

You want them to take action. Click a link. Go somewhere. Ultimately, spend money with you.

The only way you’ll be able to do this is follow a simple catch phrase I’ve been teaching for years: “useful, but incomplete”.

It simply means this: your messages must provide content that is useful to your subscribers (otherwise, they’ll unsubscribe faster than you can say “oops”!), but is also “incomplete” in that there is some additional offer that could enhance or maximize that content.

Ex. You might write an article that shares “7 Ways to Profit With Autoresponders” to send to your list. That’s “useful” information to those who are interested in that particular topic. It’s also “incomplete” because they need an autoresponder service to put the information into action. That’s your cue to promote your recommended autoresponder service.

See how it works?

If you want to pad your wallet with profits by using opt-in lists, this is how you do it:

Get people to do these four things

- Request
- Receive
- Read
- Respond

This is a system that has never failed, will never fail. I’ve used it. Others have used it.

Now, it’s your turn to use it.

——————————

For the first time, ever, Jimmy D. Brown is sharing his simple, yet powerful 6-step system that will show you how to grow your list, provide your readers with the content they crave and start making more money than you ever expected from your list.

Find Direction. Live Your Life Your Way.

Goal setting is a powerful process for thinking about your ideal future, and for motivating yourself to turn this vision of the future into reality.

The process of setting goals helps you choose where you want to go in life. By knowing precisely what you want to achieve, you know where you have to concentrate your efforts. You’ll also quickly spot the distractions that would otherwise lure you from your course.

More than this, properly-set goals can be incredibly motivating, and as you get into the habit of setting and achieving goals, you’ll find that your self-confidence builds fast.
Achieving More With Focus

Goal setting techniques are used by top-level athletes, successful business-people and achievers in all fields. They give you long-term vision and short-term motivation. They focus your acquisition of knowledge and help you to organize your time and your resources so that you can make the very most of your life.

By setting sharp, clearly defined goals, you can measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals. You can see forward progress in what might previously have seemed a long pointless grind. By setting goals, you will also raise your self-confidence, as you recognize your ability and competence in achieving the goals that you have set.
Starting to Set Personal Goals

Goals are set on a number of different levels: First you create your “big picture” of what you want to do with your life, and decide what large-scale goals you want to achieve. Second, you break these down into the smaller and smaller targets that you must hit so that you reach your lifetime goals. Finally, once you have your plan, you start working to achieve it.

We start this process with your Lifetime Goals, and work down to the things you can do today to start moving towards them.
Your Lifetime Goals

The first step in setting personal goals is to consider what you want to achieve in your lifetime (or by a time at least, say, 10 years in the future) as setting Lifetime Goals gives you the overall perspective that shapes all other aspects of your decision making.

To give a broad, balanced coverage of all important areas in your life, try to set goals in some of these categories (or in categories of your own, where these are important to you):

    *

      Artistic:
Do you want to achieve any artistic goals? If so, what?

    * Attitude:
Is any part of your mindset holding you back? Is there any part of the way that you behave that upsets you? If so, set a goal to improve your behavior or find a solution to the problem.

    * Career:
What level do you want to reach in your career?

    * Education:
Is there any knowledge you want to acquire in particular? What information and skills will you need to achieve other goals?

    * Family:
Do you want to be a parent? If so, how are you going to be a good parent? How do you want to be seen by a partner or by members of your extended family?

    * Financial:
How much do you want to earn by what stage?

    * Physical:
Are there any athletic goals you want to achieve, or do you want good health deep into old age? What steps are you going to take to achieve this?

    * Pleasure:
How do you want to enjoy yourself? – you should ensure that some of your life is for you!

    * Public Service:
Do you want to make the world a better place? If so, how?

Spend some time brainstorming these, and then select one goal in each category that best reflects what you want to do. Then consider trimming again so that you have a small number of really significant goals on which you can focus.

As you do this, make sure that the goals that you have set are ones that you genuinely want to achieve, not ones that your parents, family, or employers might want (if you have a partner, you probably want to consider what he or she wants, however make sure you also remain true to yourself!)
Starting to Achieve Your Lifetime Goals

Once you have set your lifetime goals, set a 25 year plan of smaller goals that you should complete if you are to reach your lifetime plan. Then set a 5 year plan, 1 year plan, 6 month plan, and 1 month plan of progressively smaller goals that you should reach to achieve your lifetime goals. Each of these should be based on the previous plan.

Then create a daily to-do list of things that you should do today to work towards your lifetime goals. At an early stage these goals may be to read books and gather information on the achievement of your goals. This will help you to improve the quality and realism of your goal setting.

Finally review your plans, and make sure that they fit the way in which you want to live your life.

Name of the Product: Homepreneur Habits: How To Run A Successful Home Business
By Jimmy D. Brown

Product Description: A Standard Operating Procedures Manual for Home Business Owners

Who This Product is Intended For: Anyone that wants to run a successful home-based business but is overwhelmed by where to start and how to run a business effectively.

Uses: This report shares ways to set up and operate your office so you can more easily maintain your business. It will also help you establish a workable schedule. You’ll learn how to you implement systems that work for your individual business.

In this report, you’ll also find photos of Jimmy D. Brown’s office which I found fascinating. I now know what his desk looks like, what kind of white board he uses, and what tools he finds essential to running an almost 7 figure business online.

Pros: It includes easy-to-understand language and uses photos to illustrate points. You’ll find systems that can easily be tailored to specific situations and implemented with ease. Jimmy shares real-world examples as well as includes a bonus FAQ section.

Cons: None I could identify.

Personal Opinion: Homepreneur Habits is THE report that I’ve been looking for ever since I started my own home-based business over 8 years ago.

From the beginning, this report takes you through and shows you through words & pictures the “hows” and “whys” of setting up a home office for ease and comfort.

Then Jimmy goes a step beyond and shares how to set up a weekly work routine, day-by-day in such a way that makes it obvious that implementing a schedule is not only a do-able, but a preferable and profitable, way to work.

I see it everyday….online marketers that use safelists, traffic exchanges and text ad exchanges marketing the WRONG way.

Some people say these resources don’t work but they DO work if you use them correctly.

Do you know who uses these resources?

“Other Marketers”

So who is your target market in these resources?

“Other Marketers”

If you have a product or opportunity you are promoting, you are wasting your time promoting those links in these resources.

Why? Because other marketers are NOT looking for a money making opportunity, they need quality leads and traffic.

They’re not looking for ways to make money. They have an opportunity THEY want to promote.

So what’s the solution to tap into this market?

Why not promote TRAFFIC and LEAD resources that are working for you?

Give them what they need!

Set up a lead capture page and collect leads for yourself by giving away something FREE. (traffic and lead info)

You will need a good autoresponder and a good series of messages to send to keep them interested.

Click Here to see an example of one page I use that works great!

Have a great day!

internet marketing mentors.

Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 4
By Jimmy D. Brown of “Affiliate Payraise”

I’m sure by now you are well aware that there are those who
have reported HUGE amounts of money being made with their
online businesses. What you may not be aware of is the
amount of work involved in generating those “sales” (not
always net profit, mind you … this isn’t “spendable”
income in a lot of cases.)

That brings me to the fourth reason why I love affiliate
marketing…

** You don’t need to manage an entire business **

While it can be quite lucrative, running an entire business
with employees, inventory, partners, vendors, and other
associates can be a time-sucking, frustrating ordeal.

Imagine…

* Processing refunds
* Putting out fires when partners SPAM
* Managing day-to-day operations
* Overseeing projects you’ve outsourced
* Recruiting new affiliates
* Training everyone to help you
* Paying taxes
* Taking care of the paper trail
* Doing all of the “stuff” that business owners do.

Didn’t you want to start an internet business to make
more time for important things in life?

Why not make a lot of money WITHOUT making a lot of extra
work for yourself?!

It can be a lot of extra work and stress. BUT, with
affiliate marketing, you don’t need to manage an entire
business! You are simply responsible for promoting your
affiliate link… someone else handles all the rest.

That’s why I love affiliate marketing.

You don’t need to manage an entire business.

…………………….

Jimmy D. Brown is the author of “Affiliate Payraise”, teaching
you a whopping 27 ways to increase your affiliate commissions!

As an Internet marketer, what is it that we really use Safe Lists
and Traffic X’s for? Traffic! When be break it down, traffic is our
objective. Without traffic no conversion can take place.

The problem is that most people are able to drive traffic but NOT
get the conversion they are looking for because the traffic is
WRONG!

If I am running a website selling recipes for cakes and cookies,
traffic it is going to serve me best to receive traffic from
resources where I KNOW that those who are visiting are interested
in cakes and cookies. Traffic from a data base for vegetarians and
health enthusiasts isn’t going to help me as much as traffic from a
source that is ALL about cakes and cookies… make sense?

When it comes to Traffic X’s and Safe Lists, the traffic we are
getting is generic for the most part. Let’s face it… most of the
marketing going on within these resources are nothing more that “my
business is better than yours” methods of marketing.

If you are working to build a legitimate business, MLM then you
want niche targeted traffic that will convert to leads, sales and
sign ups. The same thing applies to those who are selling affiliate
products. Good luck selling fishing secrets to a database of people
looking for information on sewing and needle point.

This is the type of niche traffic that we are showing people how to
generate with Twitter Me This! We’ve just added our brand new traffic
and lead video and people are really starting to see how Twitter is
best used for marketing and business…

We’ll be doing live classes on this very subject soon, we’d love to
have you as part of our group!

NOTE: The following is a guest post from one of my favorite
internet marketing mentors.

Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 3
By Jimmy D. Brown of “Affiliate Payraise”

Some people have the ability to persuade others and talk
them into just about anything. Especially when it comes
to influencing their buying decisions. They know how to
push the right hot buttons, say things the right way and
generally get consumers into an emotional frenzy to the
point they are ready to click an order button.

There are two key words in that paragraph that really need
to stand out in your mind: “some people”.

Not everyone has this ability. In fact, only a few do.

That brings me to the third reason why I love affiliate
marketing…

** You don’t need to write a world class salesletter**

Have you ever tried to write a salesletter? There’s a
reason why professional copywriters charge up to $10,000
(and sometimes even more) for a SINGLE salesletter. It
takes a lot of experience and skill to write a top-gun
salesletter, which is why most people have a hard time
convincing people to buy if they do create their own
products and website.

They simply don’t have the right salesletter in place
to make it all work. Without good copy, it really doesn’t
matter how spectacular the offer is, you’re simply not
going to get many sales.

SIDEBAR: The average conversion rate of site visitors
who become buyers is reportedly less than 2%. That
means 98 out of every 100 do NOT buy. That’s why
sales are so incredibly bad for a poor site … you
*might* get 2 sales out of every 300-400 visitors.

BUT, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need to write a
salesletter! You simply direct people to someone else’s
high-octane salesletter for THEM to convert your leads
into commissionable sales.

That’s why I love affiliate marketing.

You don’t need to write a world class salesletter.

…………………….

Jimmy D. Brown is the author of “Affiliate Payraise”, teaching
you a whopping 27 ways to increase your affiliate commissions!
